As reported by The National Review in an article titled The Kamala Surge, Having worried for years that Kamala Harris’s political radicalism would make her a poor candidate for office should she be obliged to replace Joe Biden, the Democrats have hit upon a clever way of getting around the problem: They are simply not going to tell the public what she stands for. While in the Senate, Harris built up a voting record that put her to the left of Bernie Sanders. Among the positions that Harris endorsed in her failed 2020 primary campaign were the abolition of private health insurance, the prohibition of fracking, the confiscation of modern sporting rifles, the expansion of Medicaid to cover illegal immigrants, and a “jobs guarantee” program. Simultaneously, she endorsed reparations, talked approvingly of defunding the police, and was comfortable enough with devastating riots to encouraged donations to a bail fund for their perpetrators. Now, all that is gone. In a series of terse statements, Harris’s campaign has summarily confirmed that she no longer believes any of that. Why not? Because she doesn’t, that’s why. What is this, the Spanish Inquisition?

Here is another attempt:

In this fact check, it is false that Ms Harris said anything about red meat, gas stoves or having children because of climate change.

Ms Harris acknowledges, and reinforces the negative impact climate change creates about having children. She justifies this with 'climate anxiety'. There was no attempt to dissuade the questioner.

The gas stoves narrative is an old one, but informative in the use of political narratives by politicians and the media. The Biden Administration introduces the concept, but if you repeat it, then it is you who are lying.

And, then there is 'red meat'. VP Harris handles a question by saying she would support healthier eating and changing the 'food pyramid' to reference reducing red meat.

Professional politicians talk around sensitive subjects all the time. They are trained that way. Professional journalists don't need to help them.

When Trump made a statement about another Biden election would create a 'bloodbath' for the country economically, people like Wapo used the word, out of context, to enhance an existing political narrative, that Trump is a dictator, plans to incite riots, and is a fascist who is a threat to democracy. In this article, instead of restating what she said, the fact checker creates context for VP Harris to hid behind.

No media bias here. The reconstruction of Kamala Harris will continue.
