Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said he supports two resolutions introduced by members of his conference that would “expunge” the two impeachments of former President Donald Trump. The resolutions were introduced by House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Thursday. Greene’s resolution would expunge the House vote to impeach Trump in 2019, which charged him with obstruction of justice and abuse of power over a phone call in which he pressed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksy to investigate then-candidate Joe Biden.
