Correction: Officer Andrew Delke was admonished by a supervisor for pulling out his stun gun instead of his firearm in a November 2017 incident. An earlier version of this story misstated the nature and degree of the criticism.

Newly revealed police records show a white Nashville police officer charged with fatally shooting an armed black man who was running away had been admonished by supervisors months earlier for not pulling his gun on another armed suspect in a similar case.
