The Biden administration is now targeting a group of Trump electors from 2020, seeking to criminalize an act that was previously considered a legal safeguard during elections. During the 2020 elections, electors in several states cast their votes for Donald Trump instead of Joe Biden, as investigations into possible fraud were underway. This tactic allowed the vice president to choose which votes to count during the final decision. Despite historical precedent, the Biden administration is now claiming this was a crime.
