An Impending Disaster for America in the Pacific?

In the pending $95 billion security aid bill, most of America has been focusing on U.S. aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. But few noticed that key funds for another region were removed—an action that could give communist China control of much of the Pacific.
Grant Newsham is an expert on Asia-Pacific, a senior fellow with the Center for Security Policy, and author of “When China Attacks.”
The area in question is Palau, Micronesia & the Marshall Islands.
The US has had a treat with these island national since the end of WWII. This agreement grants the US sole military access to the islands. Thus this huge stretch of the pacific is safer than it may otherwise be.
However, China is showing up on the islands, startign businesses, bringing tourism and asking for more from the island governments.
The Security Aid package just dropped funding for this are in the pacific. This is potentially catastrophic, if China should get a foothold there while we are looking at eastern Europe.
