‘Bigotry’: Leftists Demand Catholic Justice Recuse Herself Due to Her Faith

Leftist operatives are demanding that Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett recuse herself from an upcoming case involving religious freedom and the LGBTQ agenda because the Catholic justice accepts the Church’s teachings on sexuality and marriage.
The group of people calling on Barrett to recuse herself call themselves “survivors” of People of Praise, a network of lay Christians of which the justice is a member.
“They point to Barrett’s former role on the board of Trinity Schools Inc, a private group of Christian schools that is affiliated with the People of Praise”.
They’re trying to claim that a Supreme Court Justice can’t do her job if she’s Catholic, plain and simple,” said CatholicVote Communications Director Joshua Mercer, pointing out that what the group calls “discriminatory” is just the plain teaching of the Catholic Church. “Call this what it is: anti-Catholic bigotry – and worse, an attempt to normalize that bigotry as a way of barring Christians from having a seat at the table in the highest court.”
