Liberty Institute Responds to Group’s War on Christmas

Last Christmas, the Jewett City Council stood their ground against the Freedom From Religion Foundation and voted to leave a Nativity scene as it stood in a city park. Months later, after all the decorations had been put away, FFRF is still going after the city, and Liberty Institute has stepped in to set them straight.

While you may be surprised that the War on Christmas is still going strong in March, you should know that Liberty Institute is seeing more and more cases like this everyday. Groups like FFRF, Americans United for Separation of Church and State and the ACLU have become more aggressive in their attacks on religious expression in the public square – and not just at Christmastime. The good news is that just like in Jewett, Texas, we can win if people are bold enough and willing to stand.
