If anyone has been operating under the delusion that November’s Presidential Election will be another boring, number crunching, peaceful change of leadership, you will likely “wake up to the smell of napalm” the next morning.

It should be clear to anyone of either political persuasion right or left, that there is nothing that won’t be done to remove Donald Trump from the office of President. It has been gong on for 3.5 years and will come to a head on November 3rd. Lawyers are being collected by both sides. Debates on mail-in voting and the risk of fraud are everywhere, even bringing renewed interest to the operation and funding of the US Post Office. Anything and everything has been on the table. Ethical or unethical, legal or illegal, the objective is to have a Democrat in the White House in January 2021. The end will justify he means.

So what can we expect? There are three possible scenarios.

1. Donald Trump or Joe Biden wins a landslide on election day.
– if Trump wins the landslide, there will be weeks, if not months, of riots in the streets by the left.
– How this will be reacted to remains to be seen.
– if Biden wins, the Republicans & some Democrats will be deathly sad for the future of the country.
2. Trump or Biden win a slim victory on election day.
– no concession from either side
– political debate, lawyers and constant uncertainty, likely to continue to inauguration day.
– will Trump leave office, maybe. maybe not.
– will mail-in ballots counted weeks later have an impact?
3. A week later, whoever wins on election day, loses when ‘additional’ ballots come in and must be counted.
– This has been forecasted by Hillary Clinton and Axios in the past week.
– Republicans are seriously worried about ballot harvesting and fraud.
– a protracted legal battle will ensue over fraud and allegations of fraud.

No matter which scenario occurs, sides will be taken and that does not portend well for our country.

A basic issue here is when is election day? Is it November 3rd? Or, is it not until the last vote is found to elect Joe Biden?

This is not an academic question. It will be vital to acceptance of the result of the 2020 election. Remember, Democrats have still not accepted the results of the 2016 election.

The 202 Presidential election could make Bush/Gore 2000 look like a day in the park. ‘Corrupt bargain’ anyone? It can also be the first disputed election in the history of the country.
