The House Oversight and Reform Committee held a hearing on the treatment of migrants at the southern border, amid multiple reports of poor conditions in detention centers. Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings, in his opening statement, said family separations were “more harmful, traumatic and chaotic than previously known.” In noting the reports of squalid conditions for detained migrant children, he urged committee members to ask themselves, “Would you allow this for your own child?”

With this introduction, you can see how emotion, not fact and debate, are the basis for the House Oversight Committee.

AOC shouts this is a “manufacturer crisis”. She is correct, but not the way she intends. She intends to blame this on the Trump Administration, as apposed to the inaction of Congress on the issue of immigration policy. Not to mention the American left’s involvement in ‘manufacturing’, financing and supporting the caravans of migrants attacking our border.

One exchange that the mainstream media will not show is included in this tweet. It shows the fiction and emotion being used by Democrat Congressmen and the media to cloud the issue of immigration policy. Former acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Thomas Homan testfied before the committee and in one exchange with AOC, provided unemotional facts that left AOC speechless.

That ladies and gentlemen, is the issue at our border.

Overwhelmed by the ‘manufactured crisis”, the border patrol is doing the best it can.

Who’s fault is that? The United States Congress!

Why won’t they do it? The Democrat controlled House refuses to do anything while Trump is President. Even if their lack of action hurts kids and families. They feel they can get away with it because they can distract from the issues by blaming others for not handling the overwhelmed system that Congress’ inaction and Democrat activists caused. And they can distract with emotion vs facts for political advantage.
