from Ascension Press,

Facebook thinks Christ is too shocking for the world.

Yesterday we attempted to share the full version of our new program promotional video for No Greater Love: A Biblical Walk Through Christ’s Passion on Facebook. Because the video contains mildly bloody images of Christ’s Passion, a Facebook representative told us we could not share it, even with a Catholic audience. These images are far less graphic than the actual Crucifixion.

Do you think this image above is too shocking? That is the image which was banned from Facebook.

We’re not comfortable with Facebook telling the world what can and can’t be shared with regards to our Catholic faith.

Understanding and seeing Christ’s Passion is a vital piece of understanding the historical reality of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection. Forcing Christians to hide the realities and images of their faith is a direct subversion of our religious rights and is patently counterproductive to the sharing of Jesus’ message.
