Money and buzz are starting to separate the candidates jostling to take on President Trump.

A pecking order is emerging among the Democrats vying to challenge President Trump in the 2020 election. The party’s primary field isn’t set yet—a number of candidates, including former Vice President Joe Biden—may still join the race. But among the 18 who have jumped in, the money raised and the buzz swirling around candidates provide some early indicators to watch ahead of this summer’s first round of debates.

Sen. Bernie Sanders has been the most googled Democratic candidate in the past 90 days. Interest in him, as well as in Sen. Kamala Harris and former Rep. Beto O’Rourke, spiked when each candidate entered the race. Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Ind., has seen recent gains.
