Rep. Louie Gohmert said on “Fox News @ Night” that he would not defend the vulgar language used by President Trump in a bipartisan meeting, but understands the president’s frustration with the U.S. immigration system.

“I’m not going to defend his language but I will defend his frustration. Here we’ve got people, the only people they want to talk about – Dreamers – are people that came into the country illegally,” said Gohmert (R-Texas).

On Friday morning, Trump took to Twitter to defend himself after the explosive report, confirmed by Fox News, broke on Thursday night.

Gohmert – speaking to Trump’s frustration with current immigration laws – said a “huge percentage” of Dreamers do not speak English even after receiving a free education.

He said Democrats don’t care about Americans whose wages are stagnating and who are having trouble finding jobs.

“They care about getting people in who don’t speak the language who they can manipulate into voting for their party,” said Gohmert.
