National Commission to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the United States Capitol Complex Act (H.R. 3233)
This commission has attracted some bi-partisan support. However, the bill is not about keeping the Capitol complex secure. The House will also vote on a $2 billion slush fund that is ostensibly to pay for additional Capitol security. In reality, many of the funds will go toward MRAs (Member Representational Allowances). The allowances can be used on a wide discretion of expenses including staff and office space.

Congressional 'Insurrection Narrative' Committee Begins

It should be obvious to everyone that this January 6th Congressional Investigation Committee is a political sham. Another Democrat witch hunt against Donald Trump.

First of all the investigation is premised on the idea that this riot was an insurrection against the US government. That is a complete media political narrative with no basis in fact and ignores worst performances by the Bernie Sanders supporter who tried to kill every Republican Congressman at a baseball practice and the many protestors during the summer of 2020. Second, Pelosi fired the Republican members of the committee because she didn't want any friends of Trump. She then personally replaced them with congressmen who voted to impeach Donald Trump. Talk about staking the deck. As The Babylon Bee put it, Pelosi should have included Hilliard Clintock on the committee, too.

Third, there are 7 Democrats and 2 Republicans, that makes for a fair hearing, right? Most certainly bi-partisan.

Fourth, but wait. The media will expose this sham, that is there job? No. The compliant media with parrot every Democrat talking point. They have already started. Here are two WaPo headlines today:

Democrats look to move past partisan rancor and set serious tone for Jan. 6 investigation. Oh right, nothing partisan about this committee.

We have started investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. Nothing will be off-limits. Only Republicans are off limits. And, the questions they might ask, like what did Pelosi know and when did she know it? Why did she keep more security away from the Capitol. Were the rioters really armed> Were others, not Trump supporters, involved in the attack and the planning? Etc. We already know the answer to many of these questions, why not put them in the record. Because it doesn't fit the narrative, or the Committee's mission.

And, this New York Times reporter suggests declaring Trump supporters 'enemies of the state' to combat 'national security threats'. Do you think she had the same thing to say about Bernie Sanders supporters, or Marxist revolutionaries like BLM? My guess is no.

And then there is this reporter at Salon:

And last, is there any question about what the result of this committee will be? No. It will categorically determine that Trump helped plan and send the rioters off to assault the Capitol as an attempted coup to remain in power. They don't need a congressional committee for that. The Democrats and the media have already established that insurrection narrative and repeated it daily since January 6th.

I wish we could have an investigation that reviews all the facts and reports to the American people,but we can't. I wish we could ignore this farse, but the media will make it impossible to do so. This is the Russia Hoax all over again.
