Jussie Smollett was found guilty in Chicago yesterday of reporting a fake crime in 2019. This verdict was a surprise to no one. The evidence was shockingly clear. But, several questions come to mind when reflecting on this case. One, Why did he think this was a good idea? If 'hate crimes' are rising as AOC and almost everyone else on the left state regularly, why does staging a fake hate crime have to be a thing? Does that mean there really is not a rise in hate crimes as the narrative says? Was Smollett just trying to get attention for himself in the political world? Two, Is this the only fake, hoax attack being pushed by media and political activists? Just an anomaly? Well, we can all remember the supposed 100s of hate crimes perpetrated by Trump supporters after his election in 2016. Many of them were discovered to be fake complaints, or unproveable hear say, though major retractions or clarifications were never presented in the media. Just in the last couple of years we have be presented with a fake flag burning in Gettysburg, a fake Confederate flag spotted at a Youngkin rally in Virginia, desperate Dem operatives dressing up as white supremacists in Virginia, a MAGA masquerade by liberal activist, antifa masquerade at the Jan 6th riot, Christine Blasey Ford testimony against Kavanaugh confirmation, myriad of sexual accusations against Trump which surprisingly never ended in lawsuits, a racist fraternity invitation hoax at East Carolina, and many many more. Immediately after the supposed Smollett attack in 2019, this story in the Wall Street Journal presented the argument that Hate Crime Hoaxes Are More Common Than You Think. A political scientist found that fewer than 1 in 3 of 346 such allegations was genuine. Why is there such an effort to present 'hate' if 'white supremacy' has taken over our society? Seems like it would be easy to see ... if the narrative were real. And, why does the left wing media consistently play down these fake events. See CNN last night with the headline, “Jussie Smollett guilty on some charges.” Lastly, Was this Smollett's idea by himself? As stated in #1 above, it could have been just a stupid stunt by Mr. Smollett alone. It could also have been a copy cat effort following many other fake events reported in the media, see #2 above. Given all the other examples, it is not unreasonable to question whether it is part of an ongoing Democrat strategy to convince people the 'white supremacist narrative' is true, dangerous and an urgent problem. Given the Jan 2019 date, it was consistent with attacks on Trump as a 'white supremacist' leader. All very curious, don't you think.
