More 'Blind Bias'

In July I wrote about Blind Bias, referencing comments made by Chuck Todd, NBC News. Today, there is 'More' Blind Bias in an article in The Washington Post by Jennifer Rubin titled How Democrats Can Get There Act Together. Of course, I could write an article like this about 'blind bias' in the media every day, but I try to focus on other areas, too. Sometimes, however, I can't resist, the bias is so egregious. In this case not only is the bias egregious, but the content is demonstrably false. For Ms. Rubin though, neither is a new occurrence. This is her opening statement: President Biden is on the verge of accomplishing more in his first year than any president in recent memory despite unremitting obstruction from an unhinged opposition. With that you realize that everything that follows will be political spin and 180 degrees opposite of reality. Lets examine. 1. She must be the only person in the country who really believes that Biden's first year has been anything but a catastrophe. She quotes low poll numbers, but blames them on 'unhinged opposition', not performance. Trump polls, or Trump policy polls that favored Democrats were always somehow important and accurate, but not these. 2. The economy, as she states, has created 5 million new jobs and reduced unemployment. This is laughable. These numbers are based off pandemic driven lows. Why not compare it to the pre-pandemic highs, if you want Biden to take credit for economic gains? Trump's economy was measured on top of Obama's. Then criticized by Ms. Rubin and others that Trump was taking credit for Obama's economy. Now she wants Biden to take credit for a recovery from an artificial, historic, pandemic driven low. And where should the economy be coming out of this pandemic? Many believe it would be better off it no one had followed Trump and the Presidential seat were empty instead of Biden being the occupant. Exactly what did he do for the economy? Nothing. We all know what he has done harms the economy, everything. We still have 10M jobs open with no one to fill them. Our supply chain is horribly blocked because we don't have people to drive trucks or unload ships, restaurant and small businesses are closing because they can't find people to work. Why, because Biden and his media allies have stoked the pandemic health impacts way out of proportion, paid people to stay home and ..... Shall we talk about inflation? No, she says Biden gets the blame just because he is there. 3.COVID vaccinations. She blames the opposition for disinformation on the vaccine. Interesting that before the election, with the vaccine beginning distribution, with plans in place for everyone who wanted a shot to get one by April, VP Kamala Harris said she would not take or recommend taking a Trump vaccine. Is it now not a Trump vaccine? Obvious political hypocrisy. In fairness, we don't know how many on the right who are not getting vaccinated are doing it for the political mirror image of VP Harris. The fact is Biden should only get credit for making the vaccination situation worse with his tyrannical mandates and lack of honest scientific information. 4. The American Rescue Plan as a legislative accomplishment. Democrats control both houses of Congress and the Oval Office. The problem is what? Republicans. They foolishly voted for this, too. Now she adds the Infrastructure bill, of which half is not for infrastructure. And, the $3.5T, now down to $1.75T, wasteful spending bill that he can't get his own party to agree on. And don't forget debt. We have already had to overspend for COVID, and the Dems want more wasteful spending and irresponsible welfare to further drive up inflation & debt, leading potentially to bankruptcy. Well done Joe! 5.Happy about Socialism apparently. She claims that Biden's transformational progress is such that, 'no one since FDR can claim as dramatic a reorientation of government'. That is not a positive accomplishment. 6. Oh, let's not talk foreign policy. 7. Down at the end she attempts to blame other Democrats for Joe's poor performance, uh, I mean his 'accomplishing more in his first year than any president'. Historic failure would be more accurate. Ms. Rubin, you are embarrassing yourself. Biden & the Democrats have failed America. If you be truthful, you can still be the Democrat stenographer you are and maintain a little dignity. How about this meme as a status on Biden's first year accomplishments. Or, maybe we could be a little nostalgic ...
