Masks
Immediately, when the Coronavirus panic exploded, everyone went out and bought every mask of every type they could find and began to hoard them for the coming pandemic disease holocaust. The result was not enough medical masks, (N95 type) for nurses, doctors and other first responders. Like everything else regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, this too became a political football.

'sophisticated, vaccinated crowd' vs 'super spreader'

This weekend's dueling party's in Sturgis and Martha's Vineyard present a clear view of media political narratives and bias.

This is the opening of an article in The Washington Post regarding former Pres. Obama's birthday party.

On Saturday Barack Obama celebrated his 60th birthday on Martha’s Vineyard, at his $11.75 million mansion, with family, longtime friends from Hawaii, and boldface names like John Legend, who sang “Happy Birthday” to a tent full of attendees. The party was significantly scaled down from original plans, according to the former president’s office, because of the delta variant of the coronavirus, and occurred outdoors following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention protocol — though social media showed glimpses of a rollicking bash.

Here is The Washington Post headline regarding the annual Sturgis motorcycle rally in South Dakota.

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally revs up, drawing thousands and heightening delta super spreader fears.

Now what is different in these journalistic views of these two events?

The first obvious one is that Sturgis involves a lot more people, over 400,000 in 2020. Obama's party was supposedly scaled back from about 500 people.

Next, obviously, Barack Obama's birthday with elite leftist politicians, supporters and entertainers in attendance, vs, the unwashed motorcycle crowd, presumed to be conservative.

No flowery descriptions of the crowd and the events in Sturgis. Nothing to make you wish you were there, like the description of Martha's Vineyard.

There was nothing admonishing the crowd at Martha's Vineyard for not bringing masks or vaccination cards, like everyone else in NY is required to do.

Dan Crenshaw got the message:

Yet, a NY Times reporter explained the Obama party this way:

“Of course viruses don’t attack sophisticated people, Muffy!” attorney Harmeet K. Dhillon tweeted.

Remember how the media would complain whenever President Trump would be out without a mask! Depends on the President you like or not whether you get complaints from the media. You can be sophisticated or a superspreader.

This is not the first time nor will it be the last, where we see leftists doing what they want, regardless of the COVID rules they supposedly demand we adhere to. The elite set rules for the proletariat and the elite set the rules for themselves. They are not the same rules. And, you are not the elite.
