The head of the World Health Organization said politicizing the rapid spread of coronavirus would lead to more deaths, a warning for global leaders a day after President Trump said he was inclined to cut off U.S. funding to the United Nations agency. “If you don’t want many more body bags, then you refrain from politicizing it,” Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the WHO director-general, told reporters Wednesday, adding that ”the focus should be on fighting the virus.” Mr. Trump said Tuesday that the WHO was too “China-centric” and questioned why the group opposed his move in January to restrict travel from China. He said the WHO “should have known” the extent in China at that point, and said the group “probably did know.” “They called it wrong,” Mr. Trump told White House reporters.
