Trump Congressional hearings
The 2019 House, whose leadership was transferred to Democrats after the 2018 midterm elections, is planning many investigations into President Trump, his business, his campaign, his inauguration and anything else they can come up with. This tab is designed to list those activities as they develop.

Don't be confused. This is still very simple.

Today, Robert Mueller had a press conference that has the cable news and other mainstream news going wall to wall with speculation. As a result, it is easy to get confused over what he said and how it is or is not new and how it confirms or doesn't confirm Trump is a traitor. The situation though is very simple at it core, away from political spin.
  • Mueller found no collusion. Mueller found insufficient evidence to charge obstruction as did the Justice Dept. Investigation over!
  • Sarah Sanders statement: “The special counsel has completed the investigation, closed his office, and has closed the case. Mr. Mueller explicitly said that he has nothing to add beyond the report, and therefore, does not plan to testify before Congress.
  • There was nothing new in Mueller's press conference that is new vs the Mueller report. Nothing. Mueller even says that while saying he will not testify in Congress because what he will say is only what is in the report. "The report is my testimony."
  • No one associated with any of the Mueller indictments had anything to do with the Trump 2016 campaign. None. Some people who worked with Trump or on the campaign (Manafort & Cohen) did bad things prior to the campaign are in jail, but nothing associated with the campaign. Period! (Gen Flynn was found to have done nothing wrong other than tell a lie, which the FBI doubts was even a lie.)
The Left (Democrats & the media) still cannot get over Trump won the 2016 election.  They hoped against hope that Mueller would find something to remove him from office. He found that would get rid of Trump. They went further into depression. They have been focusing on the margins of the report since its release based on leaks and lies to keep the story alive for two reasons: 1. They cannot let the collusion/obstruction story die its natural death. 2. They need to keep it in the news to provide cover for the 'Spygate' investigation by William Barr to determine why this Special Counsel investigation happened in the first place. Now they feel they have a new "bombshell" from Mueller, which is nothing new. Just more leftist, anti-Trump hot air. -But, Mueller said he could not indict the President anyway!! It means that he could not indict the President and the Justice Dept could not indict, but Congress can act - if they found any wrong doing. True. But, then you have to ask yourself why did they do an investigation for 2 years if they could not charge any wrongdoing? Of course, the reason was to find if something was done wrong. But, what did he and his report say about that? It said he could not find evidence of wrong doing by Trump or recommend action. He said they found no collusion or conspiracy and had 'insufficient evidence' to say the President obstructed the investigation. He listed what they saw as evidence that was insufficient to them and the Department of Justice. It is Congress' job to indict/impeach if evidence suggests it. So he found 'insufficient evidence', but Congress could decide something else. This is poor legal process and a lack of professional and personal dignity, but good anti-Trump politics. The Democrat House wants to impeach and they are trying to find in this press conference, or anywhere (maybe his tax returns), something to move that item forward. There is nothing there, but the Democrat House may go forward anyway. -Barr lied!! No he didn't. The right, will report on same, review the bidding on all the speculation and then return to the same conclusions, nothing to see here. But, along with the left, all this discussion will leave the rest of us with a barrage of noise to overwhelm the facts and confuse us. The simple truth is listed in the bullets above. No collusion, insufficient evidence for obstruction, nothing different from the Mueller report revealed in Mueller's press conference, and no Mueller indictments had anything to do with the Trump 2016 campaign. So why did we do this investigation at all? That's what the Inspector General's report (due out soon) and William Barr's "Spygate' investigation is all about. As to the political spin, Mueller and his team are part of that. They specifically wrote Volume 2, Obstruction, in a way to allow Congress, the Democrats and the media to speculate ad nauseum and take any action they wanted. What they said in Volume 2, unfortunately, was not an unbiased legal report. If it was, I refer you back to the top of this article. It is very simple on the surface. More From FoxNews:
