Like every other cancel culture, history changing, monument destroying, censorship that is professed by the woke and their media allies, this one against the greatest generation is grossly out of context, misguided, dangerous and designed to be such. "Harsh views" from 1941-45, presented by The Washington Post, are just that, 'harsh views' today. That's it. They were not 'harsh views' when they were stated. They were just views.

We have successfully changed those views in the past 80 years, so it need no longer apply to anything other than history. And, it does not mean the historical figures who uttered them were bad people.

They were just people of their time. In this specific case, they were heroic members of The Greatest Generation'! People who sacrificed their lives so that everyone today could remain free.

Yet ungrateful, U&^?R#~G@!, woke of 2021 ignorantly and purposefully criticize them. If the woke were around in 1941, they would have said it is racist to fight the Japanese. It is colonialism to fight the Germans. We are living in an in-equitable time and should focus on that and not the rest of the world. After which they would allowed the country to be run over by tyrants much worse than anything experienced in the America of 1941. This is the ignorant part.

Unfortunately, none of this is new. Here is a 2012 ad that abuses the memory of the Greatest Generation for political purposes. It says more about the woke than it does about the Greatest Generation.

And, most were Democrat then. What does that say? Cancelling the Democrats for these views of 1941 would be a consistent action wouldn't it? Yes, but inconsistent to the political narrative and objective, so, no.

So what is the political objective? That is the purposeful part.
