The stage is now set for one of the next major political battles of the Trump era, the Durham investigations.

Attorney General William Barr assigned federal prosecutor John Durham to lead an investigation into the improper handling of the Russia investigation, unmasking of American citizens and spying on the Trump campaign. People on the right & left have been awaiting results of this investigation since April, 2019.

Last weekend, Republicans starting alluding to impending criminal indictments of people in connection with this investigation.

Today, Democrats begin their defense - accusing foreign political interference, disinformation and attacks on members of the US Congress and demanding an FBI briefing to determine what is to be announced before the indictments are announced.

The stage is now set. Republicans accusing Democrats, specific Democrats, and other bureaucrats, of a coup to overturn the 2016 election of a duly elected President. Democrats saying this is nothing more than Trump, his AG and the Republicans getting foreign governments to interfere with the 2020 election. Democrats will allude to the Russia connection from 2016, the impeachment for the Ukraine affair, etc.

This should be something! Stay tuned!
