anti-FA
The Antifa movement, according to Wikipedia, is a conglomeration of autonomous, self-styled anti-fascist militant groups in the United States. The principal feature of antifa groups is their use of direct action, harassing those whom they identify as fascists, racists or right wing extremists. Conflicts are both online and in real life. Though AntiFA is supposed to stand for "anti-fascist", in fact these young bullies have taken on the appearance and tactics used in the 1930s by the fascist brown shirt hoodlums of Germany!

Why doesn't the media refer to the 'protestors'/ 'counter-protestors' as "far left"?

8/30/20:

In this Washington Post article, prominent is the description of the shooting victim being a member of a "far-right group based in the Portland area". Nowhere in this article, or any other covering the Portland "protests', or the "protests" in any other city, does the media refer to the 'protestors', or 'counter-protestors' as "far left fringe groups". Why?

The narrative is that these are organic "protests" by ordinary citizens in support of equality & racial justice. And, there were some ordinary people protesting for exactly that reason early on. So, the reality is far different. That has all been taken over by professional protestors, rioting, accosting citizens, assaulting police and destroying federal buildings. The media supports, and actually created, the narrative. They will not change now to an accurate depiction of what's happening in our cities.
