It'll Be A Tall Order, But Trump Can Win by Capturing Only 4 More States!

Now that Donald Trump is the only Republican candidate for President left standing and the presumptive nominee, everyone is talking about his general election weakness against Hillary Clinton. His negatives are higher than hers, her favorable ratings among blacks, hispanics and women and his off-putting style will make Hillary a run away winner.

The New Yook Times got into this today in an article titled, The Electoral Map looks challenging for Trump.

This is a very reasonable assumption set in my estimation. Even the bookies have Hillary a favorite.<p> But, Trump has proved every forecast of his demise wrong so far. And while most people would prefer two better candidates, if Trump is to have even the smallest bump in only four states, he can capture the Electoral College.

Those four states are, Ohio (18), Pennsylvania (20), NC (15) and Florida (29). These states, totaling 82 electoral votes, are perennial swing states because they are not pure Democrat strongholds. Small vote swings in each state can turn them to Republican wins. This leaves New York, the entire Northeast, Illinois, Colorado, Iowa and Virginia for the Democrats to keep. In this scenario, Trump gets 273 electoral college votes and Hillary gets 265!

Even Bernie Sanders media says Trump beats Hillary.

And Rasmussen recently forecast reasons why Trump will beat Hillary.

If Trump focuses his attention in these four states, with Kasich strong position in Ohio (VP candidate?), the very aggressive debate on bathrooms in NC, Hillary's strong negatives in Florida combined with the fact that Florida is Trump's second home, and Pennsylvania where Hillary is no hero, he could win the election.

It's a tall order, but crazier things have happened.
