Keystone XL Pipeline

The "overinflated" rhetoric of the President

11/7/15
from The Gray Area:

President Obama Friday rejected the Keystone Pipeline and tried to downplay the decision, claiming that the pipeline had taken on an “overinflated role” in American politics.

"Overinflated role".

Aren't we glad to have a President that can take the middle of the road on an important issue and stand above the politics that surround such an important issue to educate us on what really matters. Bull...oney!

The President has been a leader in 'overinflated' rhetoric on the issue of the Keystone Pipeline as indicated by the left leaning Washington Post back in Feb.; Obama’s claim that Keystone XL oil ‘bypasses the U.S.’ earns Four Pinocchios

"... both sides [are guilty of] overinflated rhetoric. Yet the president’s latest comments especially stand out."

And in this speech, President Obama states the pipeline will be no "express lane to climate disaster" at the same time saying "if we’re going to prevent large parts of this Earth from becoming not just inhospitable, but uninhabitable, we must act not later, not someday, but right here, right now.”

So again, the President creates "overinflated" rhetoric around an issue, the tells us we are guilty of "overinflated" rhetoric, thanks Mr. President.

The truth is this announcement is timed for political reasons in advance of the United Nation’s climate talks in Paris, beginning November 30th, where President Obama will give United States sovereignty over to the UN under the guise of climate change as the #1 problem facing the world.

He doesn't seem to care that if the USA continues to be financially weakened we cannot lead others around the world to improve. China, India, Russia and the Middle East will continue to use fossil fuels and control access to energy in the United States. Until a real leader returns America to a position of strength, financial, military and moral strength, around the world, we will continue to watch duplicitous politicians like President Obama "overinflate" versus lead.
