In the run up to the 2024 Presidential election, the media will attempt to destroy whoever is the Republican front runner. They have established a new special prosecutor, the Jan the Committee, 5 still active partisan investigations, and non-stop TDS media bashing against Donald Trump. Who's next, why Ron DeSantis, of course. That was easy to call.

Not that they haven't been after him since he became the Governor of Florida. DeSantis has done the exact opposite of what every Democrat Governor did the past 4 year with the result being a resoundingly successful state of Florida. Now, though, he is on the list of leading Republican candidates for President, so they have to ratchet up the noise level.

WaPo's Jennifer Rubin, who has never seen a Republican she did not loath, is out today with her first shot at DeSantis. It is, of course, her usual Republican derangement piece. One read and you can tell she does not live in the real world. Everything she points out about DeSantis and his policies is, in the first place, false, and, in the second place, the opposite of reality and fact. You could change the party to Democrat in her piece and it would be more accurate with regard to her fear about authoritarianism and tyrannical policies. But, of course, accuracy and reality is not what motivates these attacks. They have done the same to every Republican president and candidate this century. You know about Trump, what about McCain before him in 2008? They savaged him during the 2008 campaign, only to make him a left wing hero when he defied Trump in a Senate vote on Obamacare repeal in 2017. And, George W. Bush in 2000, stole the election from Gore, in 2004 a war criminal in Iraq. Only to use the line during Trump's presidency, 'I never thought I would wish for George W. Bush'. And, both of those Republicans had no teeth against politicians who attacked them. If you go back to the second half of the 20th century, you will find each Republican President was reviled by the media. George H. W. Bush, a little slow with his words and good to make fun of for his method of speech. Ronald Reagan? He was Trump before Trump. The Republican establishment hated him and the Democrats called him every name in the book, war monger, will get us into a nuclear war, doesn't care about the poor, tax cuts for the rich, trickle down economics doesn't work, etc. Yet all were untrue and yes, trickle down economics did work and worked brilliantly. Even Eisenhower, though they had to keep that one on the down low because he was a war hero and was wildly popular, remember, "I Like Ike'. But, the media negative chorus was still there in 1952 and has grown louder, more ridiculous and more violent in the past 70 years. For those Rinos, and 'let's just get along Republicans' (Bush, McCain) who want anybody but Trump so that the media volume will subside, need to wake up. You are a target, too. There is no candidate that will go unscathed by the Democrat political machine and their propaganda arm, the American mainstream media. And, that is because everything you stand for needs to be destroyed according the left. This is not your father's politics any more. One side hates America and wants to 'fundamentally transform it and redistribute its wealth'. The other believes America is the last best chance for the world and want it to be 'great again'. No matter what the media says, you know who is who.
