CA. Supreme Court Rules 7–0, Puts More Restrictions on Police
Amid the backdrop of millions of illegal immigrants coming into the United States, as well as a crime wave happening in most major cities—the State Supreme Court of California just handed down a new ruling, saying that both police officers and sheriff’s deputies are no longer allowed to detain people on the street just because those people are trying to avoid the police. This means that a person trying to conceal himself from the police is no longer justification (by itself) for an officer to detain that person.
