Michigan Has More Registered Voters Than Eligible Citizens In 53 Counties, Says RNC Lawsuit

from The Federalist,
3/13/24:
The Republican National Committee (RNC) filed a lawsuit Wednesday against Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, alleging the state’s voter rolls are inflated with ineligible voters.
The suit claims that 53 of the state’s 83 counties have more registered voters than they do residents who are eligible to vote. Twenty-three other counties also allegedly have “suspiciously high” voter registration rates of 90 percent or more, which does not comport with the nationwide voter registration rate, according to the suit.
The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) lodged a similar suit in 2021 that was recently tossed out after the court ruled the state was removing dead voters from its rolls and therefore was not in violation of the NVRA.
PILF filed the suit after Benson allegedly failed to remove roughly 26,000 dead voters from the rolls in 2020.
The RNC sent a letter to Benson in December notifying the state of “78 Michigan counties that are in violation of section 8 and formally requesting that they correct the violations within 90 days,” the lawsuit notes.
Rallies to reopen economy spread across country as officials urge caution to prevent coronavirus resurgence

American's are reacting in states with very draconian coronavirus rules. You won't see these on mainstream media. If you do, it is a passing comment like; 'tea party style protest' being organized, or it may be the new tea party. These are designed to leave the message that these protests are nothing but politically organized events by the right. Interesting you never here these type of comments when the lunatic left organizes destructive protests. Instead the media give coverage ad-nausea-um with positive statements of support.
A growing wave of rallies are taking place across the country as protesters demand that state governments lift their orders closing businesses and public places as soon as possible, even as officials urge caution to prevent a resurgence of coronavirus.
What to Know: New polling by TPPF shows that Americans are starting to refocus their concerns—and their hopes—on the restarting the economy. The TPPF Take: “Without question, COVID-19 has had a significant and immediate impact on people’s lives and we’re seeing that in the data,” says TPPF’s Brian Philips. “The challenge is for our public officials to weigh both the serious health concerns with the very real economic damage that is occurring around the state. We should be closely evaluating activity based on what is safe or unsafe, rather than implementing blanket shutdowns that will have long-lasting consequences for Texans.”
RUSH: We have Karla and Steve, we got two people on the phone in their car outside of Lansing, Michigan. I’m glad you called. Hello.
KARLA: Rush, this is hard for us to believe. We have loved you for literally decades. I found you in the Clinton years thanks to my husband. I was home raising four babies, four Rush Babies.
RUSH: Wow.
KARLA: And literally you were my friend through those sometimes lonely years while I was raising my children. And I have to tell you, they went through liberal arts colleges, and they’re all still conservative, and it’s because of you.
RUSH: Well, thank you very much. You made my day. I really appreciate that.
KARLA: We love you deeply.
STEVE: And, Rush, you are in our family prayers every day.
KARLA: Yeah, we love you.
RUSH: Thank you.
KARLA: So we’re in a line here, Rush, and we’ve got flags out the windows, every single side street is crammed with cars and flags and honking horns and smiling faces. We aren’t your typical protesters, as you can probably figure out, but we feel like our civil liberties are worth standing up for. We feel like the peak was April 4th here in Michigan —
RUSH: Well, good for you. Have your jobs been closed on you? Have you been shut down?
KARLA: Yes. My husband, his company has been partly shut down. He’s trying to keep it going. It made it through the Obama years. It made it through wars, and we’re just praying that he can make it through this time.
RUSH: You see, one of the things I always say is that conservatives never join the protest march because they’re too busy. They’re out there working. Well not now. So now you’ve got the opportunity to go out there and join the protest march, and you’re doing it.
KARLA: We’re doing it. Our kids are home, but they are watching their parents be rebels. (giggling)
STEVE: Rush, one more comment. About four weeks ago, it was a Friday afternoon, I had just left a meeting in a city south of here, the stock market had gone up 2,000 points. You were very, very optimistic that afternoon about a revolution taking place. The Masters was not gonna be postponed, we’re gonna have World Series, we’re gonna have baseball. You said people will eventually get sick and tired of giving up their freedoms. It seems like we’ve finally gotten there in Michigan.
RUSH: Good.
