The following Senators are up for re-election in 2022. Republicans have 6 more seats to defend than Democrats and 5 of those seats are retiring Republicans. Of those 5, 4 are in solidly red states, with 1 in Pennsylvania.
Democrats seats to defend are by and large located in deep blue states so the chance of losing those Senators is quite low. Three of them, Warnock, Masto & Kelly are in purple states, Georgia, Nevada & Arizona, where there may be an outside chance for a Republican win.
All in all, it appears the Democrats may gain a seat or two in the Senate in 2022. The best case for Republicans would be to hold all 20 and squeak out a win in one of the three purple states now held by Democrats. That doesn't seem likely.
