Everything about the media reports on COVID-19 is politically driven. Everything about the NY/NJ/Conn closure against Ar/Tx/Fl is politics. You can find numbers to support the fact that COVID-19 is spreading rampantly throughout open states. You can find data to support that it is not. The media can spin Trump comments and Fauci comments until no one knows which way is up. And they have, for the purpose of scaring you and trying to have you decide who the bad guy is. For them, it is all about you deciding that Trump is the bad guy. Don't think this is all politics? Then let me ask you. What in our lives today is not about politics? I'll wait ......... right, nothing. Everything is about politics or spun into politics. There are, however, a couple of inescapable facts that the media does not report: -98.5% of those who contract COVID-19 recover. We know the categories of people at high risk. -death rates around the country are trending lower. -there is no hospital, ventilator or PPE emergency like there potentially was in March. -more testing + more cases does not equal more deaths. Matter of fact, those states who did not close down experienced a lower death rate! The truth is we have to learn to co-exist with this virus. That is just a fact! Given the 98.5% recovery rate, that is not a bad bet. Shutting Texas, Arizona & Florida off from NY, California & Conn is simple politics. Those Democrat governors have to show the media, who will parrot same, that the way they handled their states is better than opening the way these 3 Republican governors did. NY/NJ/Conn were abominations in emergency management and that is why they are not opening until now. They overreacted when they shouldn't and under-reacted when they shouldn't have. Trump was there to pull them out of the fire, responding to ridiculous requests for hospital ships and parks full of temporary medical tents. All unused. Great management NY. Blaming Texas, Arizona and Florida is false and a simple political narrative. These states are NOT overwhelmed in any sense. The plan is for the Democrats and the media to continue this fear campaign through November. Don't let them breed more fear into your life. It is unnecessary. You are responsible Americans. You know how to keep yourself and your community safe without overreacting like NY.
