Abortion
The reasons why women have abortions are diverse and vary dramatically across the world. Some of the most common reasons are to postpone childbearing to a more suitable time or to focus energies and resources on existing children. Others include being unable to afford a child either in terms of the direct costs of raising a child or the loss of income while she is caring for the child, lack of support from the father, inability to afford additional children, desire to provide schooling for existing children, disruption of one's own education, relationship problems with their partner, a perception of being too young to have a child, unemployment, and not being willing to raise a child conceived as a result of rape or incest, among others. An additional factor is risk to maternal or fetal health, which was cited as the primary reason for abortion in over a third of cases in some countries and as a significant factor in only a single-digit percentage of abortions in other countries. An American study in 2002 concluded that about half of women having abortions were using a form of contraception at the time of becoming pregnant. Inconsistent use was reported by half of those using condoms and three-quarters of those using the birth-control pill; 42% of those using condoms reported failure through slipping or breakage. The Guttmacher Institute estimated that "most abortions in the United States are obtained by minority women" because minority women "have much higher rates of unintended pregnancy. Pro-Life vs. Pro-Choice. 10 Abortion Arguments: 10 Arguments For Abortion, 10 Arguments Against Abortion. A majority of people in the United States believe abortion should be legal and regulated. These facts fly in the face of both sides of the argument. The left wants abortion to be free and easy to obtain. The right wants abortion outlawed. There is an obvious solution to this problem if the leadership of both parties would just step forward. But they don't.

A shameful & egregious leak at the Supreme Court

5/3/22
from The Gray Area:
5/3/22:
Last night we learned of an unprecedented leak - most likely by a liberal Supreme Court Clerk - of a draft opinion by Justice Samuel Alito overturning Roe versus Wade. This leak may be the greatest scandal ever at the Supreme Court. It is terrible that this leak has happened. The leak is the bigger story at this point in the abortion debate because the SCOTUS decisionswill be the decision whenever it is published. To have this draft opinion leaked now, which may not reflect the final opinion, is in my mind unimaginably evil and counterproductive no matter which way the opinion would eventually go. It shows no respect for law & order, no respect for the sanctity of the Court, and worse still, no respect for ethical standards or virtuous personal behavior. If this was a law clerk in someone's office, thinking this person was to continue on to become a judge at some level is frightening. Whomever did this MUST be found and prosecuted.  Governor DeSantis of Florida calls the Supreme Court leak a ‘judicial insurrection.’ These things can not be allowed to continue and our culture needs to return to a position where such lack of virtue is not only frowned upon, but is shunned! This example for our children is critical. Chief Justice Roberts has confirmed the draft as authentic and ordered a probe into this ‘egregious’ leak. This is the first known case in modern history of a Supreme Court draft decision being leaked to the public while the case was still pending. But, sadly the young staffers of liberal Justices are dramatically more political than in the recent past. Recognizing this, it is not unreasonable to ask, was this part of a political plan?  This year's midterm election was not going to be peaceful anyway, but instead will be bigger and much more expensive as the Left will pour money into races beyond the plans they already had. Given their violent history, some believe the Left will use mob tactics to intimidate people. Two other thoughts on why to leak this draft opinion are:
  1. is to bully Justices into submission.
  2. is to give notice to Congress to pass abortion legislation
And, given the fact that President Biden came out today calling for pro-choice votes in November, arguing a political strategy becomes more reasonable with all the fearsome tactics mentioned, and more. Sad, very sad. More From Breitbart: > More From Daily Signal: More From The New York Times (subscription required):
