The U.S. Department of Treasury has decided to change the face of the $20 bill to feature a woman, and boy oh boy, does the new face have quite a story to tell.

POLITICO was the first to report:

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Wednesday will announce a decision to keep Alexander Hamilton on the front of the $10 bill and put leaders of the movement to give women the right to vote on the back of the bill, sources tell POLITICO.

“Treasury will also announce that it plans to replace former President Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill with Harriet Tubman, the sources said. There will also be changes to the $5 bill to depict civil rights era leaders.

The move is pretty symbolic.

President Jackson, the only president who worked as a slave trader, is being replaced by an escaped slave who helped liberate hundreds along the Underground Railroad.

However, it was reported that the prevalence of the musical Hamilton may have swayed the Department of Treasury to rethink its original proposition to change the $10 bill, and instead change the face of the $20.

According to POLITICO, the $20 bill may still contain Andrew Jackson in some capacity.
