Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina on Sunday denied playing a gender card in her attacks against Hillary Clinton, saying she takes “no delight” in the plethora of questions she’s raised about Clinton and is just “concerned.”

“It is entirely legitimate when someone is running for the presidency of the United States to ask whether they are being transparent, whether they are trustworthy, whether they have a track record of leadership,” Fiorina told host Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday.”

“Hillary Clinton has demonstrated over and over she is not transparent. Her leadership as secretary of state has placed us in grave danger around the world,” Fiorina added.

Wallace challenged that Fiorina had been taking “special delight” in going after Clinton, pointing out a recent stunt last week in which Fiorina took questions in South Carolina outside a hotel where Clinton was speaking. But Fiorina shot back, saying these questions are critical because “American people need to hear her answers.”

Earlier this month, Fiorina told Fox News’ Sean Hannity that Clinton was hiding from the public, saying “there’s a whole series of questions that she really doesn’t want to answer, so she is hiding.”
