Leftist Hate Speech as recorded in a Monthly newsletter by the MRC A few examples:

• Chris Matthews on Hardball ponders, “Is Ted Cruz the Republican Freddy Krueger?”

Daily Beast‘s Michael Tomasky refers to Republicans as “sociopaths who know nothing of honor”

• Martin Bashir says the Sarah Palin should “eat s—”

• Keith Olbermann on Countdown described the Tea Party Republicans as “a group of unqualified, unstable individuals who will do what they are told … and march this nation as far back ward as they can get, backward to Jim Crow, or backward to the breadlines of the 30’s, or backward to hanging union organizers.”

• In 2009, Montel Williams called on Rep Michele Bachmann to slit her wrist and then advised “a better thing. Move that knife up two feet. I mean start right at the collarbone.”

• Mike Malloy, a liberal talker cheered in 2009, “I have good news to report: Glenn Beck appears ever closer to suicide. I’m hoping that he does it on camera”.

• Ed Schultz, “You’re damn right. Dick Cheney’s heart’s a political football. We ought to rip it out and kick it around and stuff it back in him”.

• “The Republican Party needs to be executed. Rush Limbaugh needs to choke on his own fat. The Republican Party needs to be beheaded. It needs to be taken out on some dark moonless night in the middle of the corn field and decapitated”.

• When Republican Sharron Angle ran against Democratic Senator Harry Reid in Nevada, ABC’s Joy Behar on Oct 26th said Angle should “Come here, bitch! Come to New York and o it!” and gleefully added, “I’m telling you right now, she’s going to Hell! She’s going to Hell, this bitch!”

• Olbermann again in 2010, described Massachusetts’ GOP Senate candidate Scott Brown as “an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, teabagging supporter of violence against women and against politicians with whom he disagrees.”

• MSNBC’s Ed Schultz said in 2009, “The republicans lie! They want to see you dead! They’d rather make money off your dead corpse! They kind of like it when a woman has cancer and they don’t have anything for her!”

• Writer Joe McGinnins told NBC Today on 6/1/2010: “I think it’s probably a lesson for the American people of the power Palin has to incite hatred and her willingness and readiness to do it. She has pushed a button and unleashed the Hounds of Hell, and now that they’re out there slavering and barking and growling…That’s the same kind of tactic that Nazi storm troopers used in Germany in the 30s.”

• Chris Matthews wondered if Palin would look like an imbecile on Jeopardy. Does she read anything? Have you ever seen her reading words on a piece of paper? Have you ever seen her read something?”

• On April 18, 2010, Time’s Joe Klein lectured that he had read the definition of sedition, “and a lot of these statements especially the ones from people like Glenn Beck, and to a certain extent Sarah Palin, rub right next – right up close to being seditious.”

• MSNBCs Cenk Uyger railed on Aug 26th, “Tonight, we start with the party of hate. The Republican Party in this country has been running on hate and division the last 50 years.”

• NYT’s Frank Rich wrote, “There’s nothing entertaining about watching goons hurl venomous slurs at congressmen and civil right hero John Lewis and the openly gay Barney Frank.” This although no evidence has ever surfaced that Tea Party activist’s made such statements.

• CBS’ Jeff Greenfield described the Tea Party in September as “new militancy on the right.”

• 4 hours after the shooting in Tucson, the Arizona BDAILY Star’s David Fitzsimmons who said “it was inevitable” because” the right in Arizona and I’m speaking very broadly, has been stoking the fires of a heated anger and rage successfully in this state.”
