What you need to know about the Federal Abortion Expansion Law

The pro-abortion “Freedom of Choice Act” (FOCA) is back, under another misleading name. We have not faced a bill with more destructive potential in years.

After a rise in life-affirming state laws, and after suffering a significant loss in the Hobby Lobby case, President Obama and his pro-abortion allies in the U.S. Senate are now brazenly trying to destroy the efforts that together we have worked for years to create.

Just today, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing on S. 1696, the so-called “Women’s Health Protection Act.” But make no mistake about it; this Bill is destructive to women and their unborn children and is FOCA under a different name.

If enacted, FOCA 2.0, will eliminate hundreds of pro-life laws that we have fought for years to enact.

These laws include abortion bans (such as 5 month limits or sex-selection bans), health and safety standards for abortion clinics, ultrasound requirements, and any laws limiting state funding for abortion facilities.
