A group of pastors and community leaders who have led the opposition to Mayor Annise Parker’s “Equal Rights Ordinance” delivered petitions to Houston City Hall last Thursday containing well above the minimum number of qualified signatures to certify a referendum on the measure. The pro-Homosexual ‘special rights’ ordinance, recently passed by the City Council, is a direct threat to the religious liberty of every Houstonian and is a threat to the public safety of women and children by allowing men to use women’s restrooms, even in private businesses.
