The leftist attacks on Christie have begun!

from The Gray Area:
As soon as Chris Christie won his landslide re-election (60% of the vote) for Governor of New Jersey in November, the left began to load their “demonization” guns with red paint. A popular Republican Governor of a ‘blue’ northeast state with an obvious front running position for the 2016 Republican Presidential nomination, whose celebrity, could not be left unstained.
Immediately during the reporting on his impressive election, the leftist media made certain to include mention that “[t]he governor prevailed despite holding positions contrary to those of many New Jersey voters on several issues, including same-sex marriage, abortion rights and the minimum wage, and despite an economic recovery that has trailed the rest of the country.“
In addition, TIME Magazine highlighted issues “point by point through the 2012 presidential campaign, when Mitt Romney ranked Chris Christie among the final contenders to be his running mate. That is until the Republican nominee started digging into the New Jersey governor’s record … There were 5 items listed.
And then there was this TIME Magazine headline: The Elephant in the Room. Would any right wing media outlet have been allowed to run such a derogatory headline about a Democrat candidate? Of course not! The negative imagery had begun.
Now they have attacked Mr. Christie for his team ordering ‘traffic jams’ in Fort Lee to get back at a Democrat Mayor. Much is being made of this to help present an image damaging to his bi-partisan and man-of-the-people credentials.
This was certainly a stupid act by Mr. Christie’s team and today he fired the person involved. But I can’t help but see screaming Democrat hypocrisy in this media assault. Remember during the sequester that President Obama decided to close national monuments and turn away tours and former veterans who came to visit them in order to gain political advantage over the Republicans they say caused the sequester. Now the “U.S. Justice Department has said they will scrutinize whether the lane closures, which caused crippling traffic, violated federal law“. Wow, lets keep this story in the media as long as possible for message saturation. Didn’t even raise an eyebrow at the Department of Justice when the President decided to close national monuments. Of course, it is the President’s prerogative to make those expense decisions. But one expects they are made for national interest and not political interest. That point is being drawn home with emphasis by the media and leftist ‘hypocrats’ on the Christie “traffic jam” scandal. But they respond only with disgust when pointed out as President Obama’s sequester motivation.
Look forward to a continuing barrage of such negative messaging, at least one story every 6 months, over the next 3 years or until Mr. Christie is ‘Herman Cain-ed’ out of the running.
