Trees Cut Down to Make Room for Wind Farms

Millions of trees have been cut down in order to build wind turbines to help Scotland meets its energy goals, says the Daily Caller.
Scotland seeks to get 100 percent of its power from renewable energy. Since 2007, the country has seen more than 5 million trees (6,200 acres) cut down in order to make room for wind farms in order to achieve that goal and fight global warming. Much of the support for renewable energy comes from the Scottish National Party, a left-wing party that hopes to secede from the United Kingdom and sees renewable energy as a path to independence.
The United Kingdom has embarked upon a number of unsuccessful renewable energy ventures.
More than 570,000 birds are killed by wind turbines each year in the United States. No bird death tallies currently exist in the United Kingdom, but there is concern that the nation will see similar fatalities.
