Montana: University Reaches Deal in Sexual-Assault Inquiry

Federal officials reached agreements with the University of Montana after an inquiry into mishandled sexual assault reports on campus, federal officials said Thursday. Among its requirements, the school must have a grievance procedure to resolve claims of sexual harassment and assault, and to respond to allegations of retaliation by students who make assault claims; the campus police must establish ways to gather data to assess sexual-assault reports.
