Facebook will no longer fact-check former President Donald Trump now that he’s officially running again for the White House, according to a company memo.

A manager on Meta’s “news integrity partnership” team sent a directive Tuesday to help those “seeking guidance regarding fact-checking political speech” over Trump’s candidacy, which he announced hours later.

The memo, obtained by CNN, noted that “political speech is ineligible for fact-checking” on the site, which has long been accused of censorship.

“This includes the words a politician says as well as photo, video, or other content that is clearly labeled as created by the politician or their campaign,” the memo reportedly stated.
