President Biden on Wednesday announced final details of a new taxpayer-funded bailout of private union pensions, rewarding decades of mismanagement, doing absolutely nothing to fix the problem, and putting taxpayers on the hook. In announcing the final rules implementing the American Rescue Plan’s Special Financial Assistance Program, Biden showed that he cares more about protecting the people running unions than the workers who belong to them.
