Media support of bad Democrat behavior, just confirms lack of honesty & journalistic integrity

Everyone agrees that the United States Congress is an embarrassment. The embarrassment is evident in every single thing they do. Even when they’re doing good things, like providing aid to Ukraine, they mess it up. They don’t do enough and then tie what they do to an outrageous U.S. spending bill. The record of embarrassment is shared by both the House of Representatives and the Senate. Right now it is the Senate with another embarrassing nomination hearing of a Supreme Court Justice, Ketanji Brown Jackson. And, jumping in to share the embarrassment, is the American media.

Nominated by a Democratic President, it is understood that KVJ would be a radical left candidate, in line with their most recent candidates, whose qualifications may be more identity than judicial or competence based.  Because of radically different philosophies, as a more reasonable member of the media put it, Republicans are right to oppose Ketanji Brown Jackson, because it is clear that the Supreme Court is now a political football. And, the Democrats are right to oppose any Republican nominated candidates for the same reason. That the Supreme Court is a political football, again as the author states, started by the Democrats with Robert Bork, should not be a surprise to anyone. Republicans are late to that party.

The media, as usual, is taking the side of the Democrats in a most outrageous way.  A Washington Post headline reads: Republicans boast they have not pulled a Kavanaugh. In fact, they’ve treated Jackson worse. The Kavanaugh hearings were an all time low bar for embarrassment by the Senate. But, now, the media, by making this assertion, are setting an even lower bar for themselves.

WaPo calls Republican Senator’s behavior in the KBJ hearings a “clownish performance”! They say a woman “credibly accused Mr. Kavanaugh of sexual assault.” In reality, her allegations were proven to have no credibility at all. “… no witness could be found to corroborate her story and the gutter level hearings went off & on for a month!

WaPo, and the rest of the leftist media, is trying to make a big deal out of the fact that KBJ is not a radical ideologue, but an historic nominee as potentially the first black woman on our highest court. Interesting to note historically, that the media was not interested in a black man being on the Supreme Court in 1991 when the Democrats in the Senate, and the media, savaged Justice Clarence Thomas, whose qualifications were and are impeccable. He called it a ‘high tech lynching‘ by the supposed party of minorities.

Anyone who remembers the Kavanaugh hearings, and if you don’t, go to Rumble or YouTube and look at it them, you’ll know that they are a very, very low bar for measuring responsible congressional behavior. The Democrat attacks were personal and despicable. After that strategy failed, they threatened, and continue to threaten to impeach him. When you look at this KBJ review, it doesn’t even come close to that disgrace. The National Review said it best in their headline; No, Asking a Nominee to Explain Her Record Isn’t Worse Than Accusing a Nominee of Gang Rape.

Funny how things change now that the Democrats has nominated our nation’s next SCOTUS candidate. It’s the Republicans turn to go after a Democrat nominee, and comparisons are obvious to the public. This time Republicans are focusing on her record and judicial philosophy. They aren’t coming up with false accusations and starting riots like the Democrats did with Kavanaugh. But, the Washington Post and the Democrats cannot let that obviously negative comparison with Democrat Senators stand, so they ignore reality and embarrass themselves by saying this is worse. Reality is that anybody who questions Democrat or media motives or actions is attacking them unmercifully. Yet, anyone on the Democrat side who attacks Republicans, like Kavanaugh or Thomas, is saving our democracy. Same – same, right? Uhh, no.

This shows how far the media will go to attempt to legitimize Democrat behavior. The bar they set with Kavanaugh is so low, they know what a stain it carries for the Democrats. To try to elevate that low bar, they make a ridiculous comparison to the KBJ hearings. They went so far as to try to elevate ‘Sparticus’ performance in the Kavanaugh hearings by describing his comments this time as an eloquent moment that cut through the GOP’s ugliness in the Jackson hearings. Laughable. They just make themselves and the Democrats behavior with Kavanaugh even worse.

This WaPo article, This isn’t the U.S. Senate. It’s more like day care, whose headline makes perfect sense in total, however, the ‘day care’, ‘little tykes’ reference, is only for Republicans in the KBJ hearings. Again, a realistic reference to Senate hearings, that use only a biased and unrealistic example without complete illustration of the extreme, which is the Democrat side. Misinformation by definition!

There is no realistic comparison of the two hearings other than Republicans, as aggressive as they are on KBJ’s record and judicial philosophy, come nowhere near the Democrats who still hold the record for Senatorial disgrace by a mile.

Regarding embarrassing congressional behavior, there are 2 actions necessary to fix it.

1. We must elect better people who actually care about America.  We can’t expect ethical and mature behavior from people void of those characteristics.

2. This process has become nothing but political theater for both parties. The only way to fix that is to remove TV cameras. That way the politicians would have nobody to grand stand for.

Regarding our media, this political narrative support just confirms their lack of honesty and journalistic integrity. And, we can’t expect ethical and honest behavior from people void of those characteristics either.
