Happy Thanksgiving!
< < Go Back
On this day, in a time of division and stark differences about the direction of our country. In a time when we are told our country is racist, unfair, unequal, evil and always has been. In a time of challenges to our culture, of chaos in the streets, of election disputes, of pandemic lockdowns and government overreach into our family celebrations, do we really have anything to be thankful for?
Yes, we always have something to be thankful for.
We have less poverty, less war, less death, less disease (even in the time of COVID), and less crime in the world than any other time in human history!
In your life, you should be thankful for a loving family, a loving relationship, good friends, a home, a job, a pet, and living in America.
If you don’t have a job right now, be thankful for what you do have.
If you are homeless, be thankful for the shelters available to feed and house you.
If you are alone, be thankful for the technology that brings people far away closer to you.
And, if you think you have no one to love or that you are not loved, be thankful that there is still someone who loves you. The universe is based on love. If you are religious, you know that love to come from God. If you are not, accept love that is offered to you constantly everyday.
To help with this, two articles below about Thanksgiving.
