What to Know: Critics are livid that a discussion with the authors of “Forget the Alamo” was canceled—at the Bullock Texas State History Museum.

The TPPF Take: The event was rightly cancelled, because “Forget the Alamo” isn’t history—it’s revisionism.

“Revisionist history discards the evidence and context that make up our historical knowledge; instead, it views everything through the lens of modern (and postmodern) beliefs and biases,” says TPPF’s Tom Lindsay. “And most of all, it swaps facts for feelings—How did Santa Anna feel? How would you feel?”
