What Is in the Third Covid-19 Stimulus Package?
< < Go Back
The Democrat House passed the revised $1.9T COVID relief bill today. The bill, known as the American Rescue Plan Act, passed by a vote of 220 to 211. One Democrat — Representative Jared Golden of Maine — joined all Republicans in voting against the measure.
The truth is this bill could have provided relief to those who need it for about $800M. The other $1T is simply money to bail out Democrat states and cities and other special interests. Classic big government, political spending.
Apparently the Democrats & Republicans plan to make this a 2022 midterm campaign issue.
A look at the Senate bill, which now goes back to the House for final approval before likely landing on President Biden’s desk for his signature
The Democrat-controlled House voted to advance the latest coronavirus relief bill and sent it to President Biden for his signature on Friday.
The $1.9 trillion legislation known as the American Rescue Plan Act includes a range of measures, from stimulus checks to child tax credits, jobless benefits, vaccine-distribution funds, healthcare subsidies and restaurant aid. This deal would be the largest aid package to pass since widespread restrictions tied to the coronavirus pandemic began in March 2020.
