What to Know: A piece in Forbes is calling on the Biden administration to acknowledge the obvious—the Affordable Care Act’s many flaws.
The TPPF Take: The Biden administration is doubling down on the ACA’s shortcomings.
“The ACA is a failure, and our health care system is still in need of reform,” says TPPF’s David Balat. “The ACA’s broken promises are legion. We never saved $2,500 per family. Too many of us didn’t get to keep our doctors or our insurance policies. Our premiums and deductibles have skyrocketed. A better approach would be to start with price transparency—and let patients know beforehand they’re about to be charged $336 for a Band-Aid.”
