Yes, It’s a Fact, Our Media is Biased!

Few, if any, Americans reject the idea the media in this country is biased.

Those on the left point to FoxNews, Breitbart and others representing only Republican ideas. Those on the right point to everything else from mainstream MSNBC, CNN, NYT, WaPo, ABC, NBC, CBS, & NPR to fringe players like the Huffington Post, Slate, Mother Jones, Media Matters and hundreds of others. Do a Google search on any political topic at any time and the list will contain almost exclusively left-leaning news/opinion reports on the subject. Thus signaling the left-leaning nature of all social media.

Yes, it is a fact, the media is biased!

Let’s focus on just one today to highlight the fact, and the hypocrisy, of our mainstream media, CNN.

I know, it is an easy target. Yet Wolf Blitzer said to former Attorney General William Barr that his network, CNN, is ‘fair and balanced‘. How about that for tone deaf, brainwashing or just plain ignorance. So why ignore the overwhelming evidence when it is in your face every day.

A few examples:

Jake Tapper, Nov. 7th: “But now the Trump presidency is coming to an end, with so much squandered opportunities and ruined potential, but also an era of just plain ‘meanness’. It must be said, to paraphrase President Ford, for tens of millions of our fellow Americans, their long national nightmare is over.” But, CNN isn’t biased. Wolf, is that the ‘fair and balanced‘ you were talking about? And the hypocrisy, using the word ‘meanness’ as a descriptor of Donald Trump, when CNN is the ‘meanest’ news network out there.

Here is just one of many examples of CNN ‘meanness’. Don Lemon denouncing Trump fans as “people who will lie, steal, cheat, lie to their own mother, lie to themselves…” Oh, yea, I feel better that we won’t have to hear this ‘meanness’ every day. Instead he and his CNN associates will gaslight, cover up and deflect from anything negative about the Biden and Democrat presidency. We have already seen this in the Hunter Biden story, before the election (silence) and after the election (basic reporting).

Van Jones, also on Nov. 7th, “…It’s easier to tell your kids character matters. Tell them the truth matters. Being a good person matters. … This is a big deal for us just to be able to get some peace and have a chance for a reset, and the character of the country matters and being a good man matters, .. this is a good day.” Yes, again, we all feel better that Don Lemon’s journalistic character will continue. That having Donald Trump look you in the eye and tell you a hard truth is a bad thing, vs just ignore it or gloss over it with political correctness or a well orchestrated political narrative.

One minute after Joe Biden made his victory speech, Nov. 7th, CNN tweeted out a new commercial in which it echos Biden’s call for unity and breaks out ‘I’d like to teach the world to sing”. A narrator mourns “our trust has been broken, in our leaders, in our institutions, even with our friends, and we are hurting. We need to listen to one another, to re build those bonds.” So, NOW, we need to listen to one another. NOW we need to rebuild those bonds. Sure CNN. Nothing obvious here.

Andersen Cooper, two days after Biden’s apparent victory, was furious Trump had not conceded. Talking to David Axelrod, a Bill & Hillary Clinton campaign advisor, compared Trump to the dictator Mobutu, the long-time President of Zaire (now known as the Democratic Republic of the Congo), an awful dictator. “Thankfully, it hasn’t come to that here, but I can’t believe we are in this situation here“, he said.

This after he had already apologized for calling our President “an obese turtle on his back flailing in the hot sun“!

This is just a few, countless more, over a day or so after the election. Watch any day and any time, you will find similar ‘professional’ jounralism at CNN.

Any CNN call for unity must be met with a laugh out loud. You cannot go four years, day in and day out, meanly and erroneously denouncing the President and his supporters and expect unity. The denounce a unifying slogan like “Make America Great Again’ calling it racist, white supremacist, etc.. none of which was true. Nothing resembling a desire for unity came out of CNN’s mouth for 4 years. Instead they supported ‘resistance’, peaceful and otherwise.

We must recognize we cannot believe anything that is reported by our media on face value. We must all ‘VARY OUR NEWS SOURCES’ to have any chance to determine for ourselves what is true (and unifying).
