What to Know: Supposedly “clean” electric vehicles have a dirty secret, the Guardian reports—mining for lithium, known as “white oil.”
The TPPF Take: So-called green energy relies on minerals such as lithium. When those are factored in, the energy is far less green.
“With its myopic focus on reducing carbon dioxide emissions at any cost, the green movement fails to consider the negative human and environmental impacts, especially the land and wildlife destruction, of ‘renewable’ energy,” says TPPF’s Jason Isaac.
