2/28/20:

On Friday, the House failed to protect the life of the unborn while passing a nanny-state bill that bans flavored tobacco and vaping products.

The Reversing the Youth Tobacco Epidemic Act of 2019 (H.R.2339) is a nanny-state bill that bans the sale of flavored tobacco & vaping products and creates a new $10 billion tax on Americans who buy vaping products. It passed the House by a vote of 213-195

But before the final vote on H.R. 2339, Republican leadership submitted a motion to recommit (MTR), recommending that H.R. 2339 be returned to committee and amended to include the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (H.R. 962), an identical bill to what was voted on in the Senate.

The vote on the MTR was essentially a vote on Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. Sadly 220 House Democrats against it and the MTR failed. It’s sad that there are 220 congressmen who believe that some living babies don’t deserve a chance at life.
