What to Know: President Trump visited Louisiana on Tuesday and spoke about his energy plan.

“In his second trip to Louisiana this year, President Donald Trump touched down in Lake Charles and toured Sempra Energy’s Cameron liquefied natural gas facility Export Facility in Hackberry,” the (Baton Rouge) Advocate reports. “The president landed at Chennault Internation Airport in Lake Charles this afternoon. He gave a speech on energy infrastructure and the economy where he touted the energy sector and promoted two recent executive orders aiming to help the industry by easing restrictions on energy infrastructure and promoting fossil fuel development.”

The TPPF Take: Energy independence is transforming America—and the world.

“American energy dominance is good news for our citizens, who benefit from lower energy costs, and for our allies around the world,” says TPPF’s Jason Isaac. “We’re exporting not just energy, but also our freedom and our clean air, liberating our trading partners from dependence on hostile, unstable nations and countries without our commitment to environmental quality.”
