Donald Trump reportedly offers Rep. Ryan Zinke interior secretary post

Rep. Ryan Zinke, Montana Republican, is Donald Trump’s choice to be Interior secretary, according to “two transition officials” and other other source cited by Politico.

However, Politico reported, there was no indication that Mr. Zinke, a former Navy SEAL commander, was inclined to accept the offer from Mr. Trump.

Mr. Zinke was an early supporter of the political newcomer’s candidacy, but is also being eyed by D.C. Republicans as a potential challenger for Montana’s U.S. Senate seat, which Democrat Jon Tester will defend in 2018.
