MeToo
According to Wikipedia, the "Me Too" movement (or "#MeToo", with local alternatives in other languages) spread virally in October 2017 as a hashtag used on social media to help demonstrate the widespread prevalence of sexual assault and harassment, especially in the workplace. It followed soon after the public revelations of sexual misconduct allegations against Harvey Weinstein. The phrase created by Tarana Burke was popularized by Alyssa Milano when she encouraged women to tweet it to "give people a sense of the magnitude of the problem". Since then, the phrase has been posted online millions of times, often with an accompanying personal story of sexual harassment or assault.

Lindsay Lohan, who, in my opinion, is basically a flake, issued an honest and appropriate comment regarding the "Me Too" movement and was forced to apologize. "... I have since learned how statements like mine are seen as hurtful, which was never my intent. I’m sorry for any pain I may have caused."

This is what she origninally said that got the radical left activist upset.

“I’m going to really hate myself for saying this, but I think by women speaking against all these things, it makes them look weak when they are very strong women,” she said, adding later: “If it happens at that moment, you discuss it at that moment. You make it a real thing by making it a police report. ... You have these girls who come out, who don’t even know who they are, who do it for the attention. That is taking away from the fact that it happened.”

She was 100% correct in this position.
